Building our One Wild Life, Together

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.

Our First Gathering as One Wild Life Advisors

We are feeling full of gratitude. In September, we hosted our very first in-person gathering of clients, friends, and colleagues as the newly merged One Wild Life Advisors. The event was pure joy.

We served a signature cocktail—the Old Fashioned—Andrea’s and my favorite drink. The talented Justin Lerias, founder of the popular new bakery Del Sur, treated us to both sweet and savory pastry bites. And as a thank-you, guests left with One Wild Life t-shirts as party favors.

Deb Anderson debuted a commissioned original artwork she created for us (artwork above). Having this event on our calendar helped us make our office an inspirational space to work from and we are thankful to Shonah of Magpie Interiors for leading us in the decorating process.

More Than a Party

What truly made the evening special wasn’t the food, drinks, or even the new office space—it was the conversations and support that filled the room.

Let’s be honest: whose idea of a “great time” is spending a Thursday night with their financial advisors? And yet, so many of our clients and colleagues chose to spend their evening with us. Their presence and encouragement meant more than I can express.

Feeling Grateful in This Work

These days, we feel extraordinarily honored to do the work we do—helping clients build their one wild life. Read more about creating a wild life here.

Each person we work with has a unique definition of what a “wild life” is to them. What does “wild” look like for you? Here are just a few of the inspiring ways clients described their version of “wild”:

  • Hiking in all the national forests

  • Sky diving (indoors)

  • Downhill skiing with family

  • Presenting ideas that are wild

  • Raising tiny humans

  • Kayaking in the Chicago River

  • Opening my business

  • Climbing the Colorado 14-ers

  • Tiny home camping

  • Surf paddling in Costa Rica

  • Jumping in Lake Michigan

At One Wild Life Advisors, we provide financial planning for the things that matter. Below are a few of the things clients said when asked what matters to them. What would your answer be?

  • Living life to the fullest into retirement

  • Health and mobility

  • Caring for my sick parents

  • Having enough money

  • Stability

  • Feeling comfortable with the future

  • Hot yoga

  • Worry free planning for needs and wants

  • Feeling secure with my finances

It is inspiring to witness these hopes and dreams, and it is incredibly rewarding to help provide the financial scaffolding to make these dreams a reality.

Here are some photos from the day. I hope you can feel the joy we experienced.
